Department of Chemical Engineering
The Department of Chemical Engineering runs a three-year HND programme which has been in existence since 1996. Following the approval of the top-up
BT ech programme in Chemical Engineering by the National Council for Tertiary Education ( NCTE ) and subsequent accreditation by the National Accreditation Board ( NAB ), the Department commenced the BT ech programme in the 2013/2014 academic year.
Department of Civil Engineering
The Civil Engineering Department was established in September 1996 under the Building Technology (BT) Department to train professionals to take up the middle-level supervisory role in Civil Engineering and its allied industries. Following accreditation in 1997, the Civil Engineering Department was separated from the BT Department. The Department, since its establishment, has been offering Higher National Diploma (HND) program in Civil Engineering and has trained many professionals in all the Civil Engineering disciplines.

The Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department is one of the oldest Departments in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The Department gained accreditation to run HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering in 1992 and subsequently gained accreditation to run BTech Top-Up Programme in Electrical/Electronic Engineering in 2015. The Department has produced over two thousand HND graduates who have made significant inputs to nation building in various sectors of the economy.
