Admission Requirement


Eligible candidates into the DTech programme must possess one of the following qualifications or requirements:

a) Research masters (MTech, MPhil, or MSc, or its equivalent) in Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineering.

b) Any other research-oriented master's programme at the second-degree level in a related field. Applicants whose master's degree is solely research would be required to take relevant taught courses as prerequisites.

c) All foreign qualifications shall be referred to GTEC to determine equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.

d) Professional certificates and any other qualifications beside the ones specified above shall be referred to GTEC to establish 
their equivalences, to determine their eligibility for admission to the University.

e) Candidates must submit a research proposal that is acceptable to the Department.

f) Candidates must attend an interview session and pass the interview before admission.

g) Candidates may be required to take some additional courses whenever necessary.

h) Generally, evidence of a research publication will be an added advantage.
