Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Kumasi Technical University. The Faculty has, since its inception provided high quality training to generate innovative, entrepreneurial and industry – ready graduates to support the industrial activities in Ghana and abroad via programmes run through its seven departments as well as research.
FET is the best and largest Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Faculty of the University and boasts of state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops. The Faculty has the enviable record of consistently producing the highest research output and having the highest number of terminal degree holders in the University. This enviable achievement was made possible by a team of dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as hardworking and disciplined students. Additionally, the Faculty has forged solid collaborations with foreign universities and industries to ensure students access adequate exposure to current trends in industrial and global trends.
FET is committed to delivering an education that encourages innovative thinking, develops technical excellence and builds collaboration, communication and leadership skills. Currently, the Faculty has seven engineering departments (Mechanical, Civil, Oil and Gas, Electrical / Electronic, Energy and Environmental, Chemical, Automobile and Agricultural Mechanization) running 22 programmes designed to contribute manpower to national development agenda and one renewable energy Center of Excellence.
