Julius Ahiekpor is the Research Director at IRID. He is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the Chemical Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University.  He has interest in sustainable energy production, energy access, and modern energy cooking solutions.

A down-to-earth individual with quality education in Engineering and Mathematics and a focus on environmental engineering (sanitation option) at the PhD level, Dr. Roland S. Kabange is a Senior Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University (formerly Kumasi Polytechnic). 

He worked tirelessly and gained accreditation status in the 2000/2001 academic year for the department through the National Accreditation Board (NAB) under the panel chairmanship of the late Professor Kwesi Andam of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
